The Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports was held on 27th June 2019 in Doha, Qatar. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Mohamed Salem Al-Nuaimi, President, ACBS.

The board members, Mr. Alamgir A. Shaikh, ACBS Sr. Vice President, Mr. Michael Alkhoury, ACBS General Secretary, Mr. Joseph Lo, ACBS Treasurer and delegates from different Asian countries were present during the meeting.

Mr. Farouk El-Barki, President, Union Mondiale de Billard (UMB), Mr. Mubarak Al-Khayarin, IBSF President and Mr. Jim Leacy, IBSF Vice President also attended the meeting as special invitees of ACBS and the floor welcomed them in the meeting.

The board presented ACBS developmental and financial reports, which were unanimously accepted and the floor shown happiness for the strong financial position of ACBS. The floor was also happy to know about the efforts of ACBS for extending technical and developmental supports to its member countries.

The board informed the house that last year’s Asian Tour 10Red Championships 2018 was held successfully in Qatar, China & India and gained good popularity. Secretary General informed that ACBS is ready for 2nd edition of the Asian Tour and details will be furnished soon.

The board also informed the house that ACBS is working to include more playing opportunities for English Billiards and Ladies players with good prize money.

ACBS is also putting effort to bring cue-sports into the Asian Games 2022. For that, the board suggested member countries to request their respective National Olympic Committees for introducing Cue Sports in the Asian Games of 2022 to be held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang in China.

Lastly ACBS thanked China and India federation for respecting rules of ACBS formulated for participation in International tournament.

The meeting ended with vote of thanks and special thanks to all three special invitees.
