Former Asian champion Aditya Mehta from India could be another big name to suffer shock defeat but timely he avoided by winning three frames in a row to and defeated Ihab Al-Salih of Iraq 5-4 and removed his name from upset list on day-1.

Though Aditya started well with a sparkling break of 65, then 54 in third to obtain 2-1 lead but after that Ihab gave him a tough fight and secured three frames in a row to come ahead 4-2.

In last three frames Aditya curtailed Ihab on single digit score, which was essential for his victory against Ihab who was playing a quality game before.
