The 35th Asian Snooker Championship 2019 is set to begin on Sunday, the 16th June 2019 at the QBSF Academy in Doha with the final to be played on 21st June. This championship will be followed by Asian 6Reds and Asian Team Snooker Championships in the same venue. 53 Internationally renowned players from 18 Asian countries are participating in this championship and the people of the region will be able to witness world-class talent in action via web-streaming on ACBS website and ACBS Facebook Page. The participating countries include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Mongolia, Myanmar, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Syria, Thailand and Yemen. The current Asian Champion, Amir Sarkhosh of Iran will contest to defend his title. Other big names are like Pankaj Advani and Aditya Mehta from India, Thanawat Thirapongpaeboon from Thailand, Babar Masih from Pakistan, Ko Htet from Myanmar, Fung Kwok Wai from Hong Kong and others. Host nation Qatar has fielded eight players i.e. Ahmed Saif, Abdul Mohsin, Mohsen Bukshaisha, Mhanaa Alobaidli, Bashar Abdulmajeed, Khamis Alobaidli, Badr Abdulla Sharshani and Essa Al Qubaisi.
