After successful completion of Asian Snooker and Asian 6Reds Championships, the Asian Team Snooker event begins today at QBSF academy in Doha.

The host nation, Qatar fielded two teams and Qatar 1 comprises of Ahmed Saif, Mohsen Bukshaisha and Abdul Mohsin and reached the knockout stage by winning one match out of two they played.

Though the morning result was disappointing for them where they lost to Thailand in straight set of frames 0-3 but in the evening session, they defeated team Oman 3-1 and qualified for knockout.

However, their second team Qatar-2 (Bashar Abdulmajeed, Mhanna Alobaidli and Khamis Alobaidli) fought hard but failed to make the place for knockout. After losing to Iran 0-3, they tried their best against team Hong Kong but lost 2-3 and made exit from the competition.
