Before defending champion Amir Sarkhosh could win his last league match of Asian Snooker Championship 2023, Eissa Ali Al Hashmi of United Arab Emirates gave a tough fight him and took away two frames.
After losing first frame 17-90, Eissa shown excellent shots in second frame to surpass Amir’s score of 41 and won the frame 84-41. In third frame, Eissa slowed down the pace and played very strategic, which resulted in winning the third frame too to lead 2-1.
This was certainly an unexpected position, not only for Amir, but for his fans too. However, the fourth frame started bit scrappy but Amir shown some precise potting and won the frame 68-18 to level the match 2-2.
Eissa had another chance to obtain lead but by that time Amir had returned to the game and he shown good regulation of shots to won the frame 67-42. Lastly in 6th frame Amir sent a match winning break of 72 to points to close the proceedins 4-1 with frame point 83(72)-41.
Meanwhile Runner-up of previous edition, Ishpreet Singh Chadha from India was down 0-2 against Omar Alajlani of Saudi Arabia, yet he shown his determination and made a remarkable recovery to win the thrid frame 80-18.
After that Ishpreet was completely unstoppable and made three consecutive century breaks 107, 120 and 123 in next three frames to close the proceedings 4-2.
