Indian player Kamal Chawla made a remarkable comeback from 3 frames down to reach into decider of his Last-16 match, but his all hard work went in vain and lost the deciding frame to Pongsakorn Chongjairak of Thailand. Pongsakorn was on fire and in first 30 minutes he was leading 3-0 having aid of three fantastic breaks of 90, 68 and 54. In fourth frame, Kamal responded with a break of 60 points to get some breathing space. Even after that he shown his tactical play to win next frame too. In sixth frame he was set to make it 3-all but on the score of 31-30, he played slightly thick on black and gave easy pot to Pongsakorn. The score rested with 4-2 for Pongsakorn Kamal Did not give up and won next two frames one-sided to set the score 4-all but in decider, Pongsakorn sent another contribution of 64 points break to close the proceedings 5-4.
