Myanmar player and World No.2 Nay Thway Oo struggles against former World Champion and Asian Games gold medalist Praput Chaithanasukan of Thailand but timely recover to win the match 4-3. Nay Thway Oo won the first game but went down when Praput made two breaks of 66 and 62 in next two games. Though Nay Thway Oo won two more games but another break of 69 by Praput forced him to enter the deciding game. In decider, Nay Thway managed to curtail Praput on 6 points only and made break of 68 to win the game and decider as well. Meanwhile, Sourav Kothari of India shocked his compatriot and 21-time world champion and current Asian champion, Pankaj Advani by winning straight set of games 4-0. Pankaj was bit struggling initially. Even he missed the second game by two points only. After that, Sourav dominated and made breaks of 100 and 58 to close the proceedings 4-0.
