Thor Chuan Leong from Malaysia reached the quarter-final stage of the QNB Asian Men Snooker Championship 2023 defeating Chinese player Jiang Jun on the last ball of match 4-3. Thor was down 1-3 and it appeared that he might get eliminated as Jiang got into a good position to score decent in the fifth frame, but after scoring 22 points, Jiang gave chance to Thor, which he converted into a massive break of 113 points to return to the game. In the next frame too, Thor scored another break of 53 to accumulate a frame score of 113 against 11 to set the deciding frame. The last frame was crucial where both the players struggled between scoring shots and safeties. Despite multiple chances to each, none maintained continuation and missed very often. On a low scoring, they both reached the colour balls where lastly Thor managed to score pink and won the match 4-3.
