Both the players from Vietnam, Ngo Dinh Nai and Canh Phuc Pham reached into the final of 1 Cushion Carom discipline of the ongoing 30th South East Asian Games 2019 here in Manila, Philippines. In the final Ngo Dinh Nai knocked out Canh Phuc Pham in a closely fought battle by 8 points. For the race-to-100 points, Ngo Dinh Nai scored breaks of 19, 11 and 47 points, whereas Canh Phuc Pham compiled breaks of 17, 14, 10 and 28 but fell short by 8 points and settled for silver. Being semi-finalists, Francisco Dela Cruz of Philippines and his compatriot, magician of pool from Philippines Efren Reyes shared joint bronze.
